Word Up ’95 is here to prove that people will indeed flock to this idea, and profit can be made for whoever believes in it enough to lend their time. The long-term goal is to have one area where all the animals, music, and sports can be while also being totally portable with Ford Ranger pickups to tow whatever needed. Krayon Koz will continue to work hard for this goal while also expanding on the clothing line that is ‘Word Up ’95 Style’ available on the MERCH page. The long-awaited album ‘No Lawyers’ will drop in 2013 as well, and it is guaranteed to be something that changes pop, hip-hop, and music as we know it.

spoiler alert: Krayon got his ear for melodies by playing cornet since 1st grade, and will bring back this skill to the album ‘No Lawyers’ to push the limits of what is mainstream. Special guests and his resurrected use of harmonica that were used in both previous albums (The Krayon Project, Karikkulum) will appear as well, along with other surprises in both the videos and songs that cannot be written in words. Word Up ’95 could not be more excited for 2013!

2011:

Word Up ’95 is born. After Krayon Koz works diligently for months in the studio, the full-length album ‘Karikkulum’ is released and distributed with over 4,000 copies handed out for free. KrayonKoz.com is launched, Word Up Rodeo has formed and the new studio building is in full blast. Krayon’s dream truck has been purchased in June of this year as he continues to work toward his goal of launching the full-time business in May of the following year.

2012: 

The name Word Up ’95 comes from the mouth of Big L in his epic 7-minute freestyle in 1995 with Jay-Z. While growing up, Krayon Koz would listen to this specific recording to find his flow, and would frequently repeat the phrase “Word Up ’95 style. I got my man Jay-Z here.” When it became clear just how great the year 1995 was for our culture, it became the name of his diversified business. Not only does he still play baseball and throw gas as a pitcher, Krayon Koz is a huge Yankees, Broncos, and Knicks fan. He also loves ’90s hip-hop, TV shows such as Hey Arnold and Boy Meets World, and would consider South Park the most intelligent depiction of the way the world works. South Park has been said to be his ‘religion’ as a hyperbole for what he thinks of the show. He is really a Catholic with a more open mind and less hypocritical approach than most practicing Christians. Here are all the reasons for why 1995 was significant to Krayon Koz.

Word Up ’95 strives to be its own record label, baseball association, and global corporation that involves music production, fashion design, baseball clinics/leagues and the eventual creation of an all-friendly rodeo/zoo. It actively supports the ethical treatment of animals, but unlike PETA, Word Up ’95 does not judge others for eating meat and supports the  movement to ‘Keep Exotic Pets Legal’. Many of PETA’s members get on their high-horse and literally think they know what an animal wants, claiming that it is ‘cruel’ to keep certain animals in captivity such as primates or livestock. With first-hand experience raising exotic animals, we try to bring the point across that animals such as foxes and pigs not only make great pets, but that they enjoy their life in captivity  because they are raised with other friendly animals who don’t have to be the same species as them to get along.
